When someone hear altruism, they think that one must be a philanthropist or a rich person to do such an act. 

Nothing could be further from the truth! 

Altruism can be done on practically no money or even for free.   Anyone can do it. 

 Do altruism as shown in this section.  

   

 

  Who thought that altruism was so not only easy to do but rewarding in feel good factor and a more balanced health!

*Invite someone for dinner  
*Cook breakfast for the family  
*Do someone's dishwashing or laundry at home  
*buy a small gift as a token of affection for a family member or friend  
*Send a small thanking postcard to a person you do appreciate  
*Phone a friend to ask how they are
*Meet a relation for a cup of coffee and have a holistic chinwag  
*Let your partner watch their favorite show  
*Pick up some litter near your home if unattended  
*Make a genuine compliment to someone  
 
*Be friendly on public transportation.
*Put a great comment about a place you liked on their online feedback form
*Send an e mail praising the work of a person who inspired you positively
*Make a small donation in a charity collection box
*Sign a petition for animals or people on a website like change.org or causes.com or care2.com
*Bake a cake for a family, give some clothes or items you do not need to a charity shop
*Buy a hot drink for a stranger, donate your old vehicle, be a listening hear for somebody
*Volunteer at an animal shelter,
*Help an elderly person when you can see it.
 
*Connect people to each other
*Caress a pet, send an inspiring text by SMS
*give away a paid parking ticket if some good time is left on it
*Put a positive image in Instagram, share a great review of a cool place on the Trip Advisor's website
*Fill up a feedback card in a restaurant or coffee place with high rating when you experienced it
*Help someone carry an awkward size item if needed
*Walk a dog for an acquaintance
*Do house setting or baby sitting for family or friends
*Hold a door open for someone
*Get some matinee movie tickets for a couple you know or their kidS
 
*Let people merge-in during traffic
*Send someone an e-card for a special occasion (care2.com is free)
*Volunteer for a charity even if it is just once for a special event
*Send a praising card to the Editor of a newspaper when they spread good news
*Buy one or two item you can afford in a Supermarket/Market for a local Food Bank
*Plant a tree, plant some Bee friendly flowers in your garden
*Do a great review of a cool book/CD/DVD item on Amazon.uk or .com
*Tip well a great Waiter/ress, buy a drink for the Kitchen staff
*Mentor a kid or teen within a charity with what you are great at
*Let someone in line go before you.
 
*When you're on a crowded train/bus, give your seat up for elderly, disabled or pregnant mother
*Run an errand for a busy friend
*Take a minute to direct someone who is lost even if you are in a rush
*Join a good cause to better society, give some coins to a person busking on the street
*Have some reading or game playtime with your child
*Contact a family or friend's idol to have a personalised signed photo sent to them
*Do someone's  light gardening chore
*Help to change a tyre when the occasion presents itself
*Join care2.com and chose your altruism as there are plenty of easy choices there which for many are free.
 
*Go for a walk with a friend and talk
*Give unwanted items when a charity bag is posted thru your postbox or letter box
*Buy that Boy scout /Girl scout or Firefighters calendar when they show up to your home
*Give/leave a great testimonial online or as a letter to a paper about someone's service
*Donate blood to the Red Cross
*Make a simple handmade card and send it to make someone happy
*Pick up a friend or family member from work to give them a break
*Offer (within safety) a car ride when you know it is needed
*When one cannot reach a shelf for an item then do it for them
*Give a thanking hug when it is the right.
 
*Wash a friend's car as a surprise
*Praise a great person on your blog or website
*Encourage a loved one like your partner or your child/ren
*Drive to a recycle/reuse centre to drop unwanted items
*Buy some chocolates or sweets for your work mates
*Play a £1/$1 charity lotto ticket or raffle
*Go to a church jumbo or table sale and spend a few coins
*Carry a heavy item for an elderly person
*Thank someone with a small ad in the newspaper
*phone or send a note to a radio for publicly thank a person who deserves it
*Nominate a candidate for a Community Award.
 
*Buy flowers for nurses in a clinic or hospital
*Make sure to thank correctly folks who do any cleaning
*Buy a recognisable coffee or chocolate to give to a person who is on the street
*Share that chocolate bar
*Choose an inspiring film and give it wrapped as a gift to the person who will be uplifted by it
*Drop some change into a Museum's donation box
*When in a public toilet wipe handles with a sanitizing product if you carry one
*Empty that hoover/vacuum cleaner for your home
